Visualizing data on a map provides different points of view so it can often help generate new insights or ideas. Map-based applications generally consist of a base-map and a data-overlay. Common base-map options are road maps, satellite images, contours of the earth’s surface, etc. The data-overlay itself must contain longitude and latitude components so that it can be drawn or placed on top of the base-map. Multiple data-overlays can be displayed simultaneously and simultaneously as needed. Map features can be created on desktop, web and mobile applications. The technologies used to create this map feature include Google Maps API, LeafletJS, Open Street Map, etc. Map applications that have been made include population data visualization, making search patterns or ship movements at sea, visualization and mini-market searches, monitoring the movement of ships and so on.
