Enterprise Content Management (ECM) assists organizations in storing, managing, organizing, searching and sharing digital documents, including the results of conversion from physical to digital. ECM provides a secure and reliable digital document repository. ECM helps organize digital documents with the concept of folders or directories for easy browsing. ECM also helps automate the process of a document, such as Review and Approval, with workflow features. The document search feature by keyword will be very helpful in getting a document that is increasing and very large in number. ECM helps save paper by sharing documents with those in need. ECM must also be able to integrate with other applications that are the source or that require documents. Alfresco is one of the ECM products that has been proven to be able to meet the needs of organizations in managing documents.
